What is Molarity?
Molarity is a term used in chemistry to describe the concentration of a solution.
It is the number of moles of solute per liter of solution. A mole is a unit of measurement used in chemistry to describe the amount of a substance.
One mole of a substance is equal to 6.02 x 10^23 molecules or atoms of that substance. The molarity of a solution can be expressed as either moles per liter (mol/L) or moles per cubic meter (mol/m3).
Formula of molarity
Here,
M is the molality of the solution that is to be calculated
n is the number of moles of the solute
V is the volume of solution given in terms of litres
What is Mass?
Mass is a measure of the amount of matter in an object. It is usually measured in grams (g) or kilograms (kg).
What is Molecular Weight?
The molecular weight of a substance is the sum of the atomic weights of the atoms that make up the molecule. The atomic weight of an atom is the average mass of an atom of a given element. The atomic weights used in calculating molecular weights are taken from the periodic table.
